Faculty & Staff Referral Bonus Program Details*

Who is eligible to receive the referral bonus?

All faculty and staff of Great Hearts who are employed and in good standing at the time of the receipt of the bonus, excluding those listed below, who are not eligible for the bonus:

    • The relevant hiring managers (or those in the reporting chain who contribute to hiring decisions)
    • All Talent Members
    • CEO, Superintendents, and other Senior Executive staff
    • Seasonal/Temporary Employees

Guidelines and Process:

  1. Referral forms are encouraged to be submitted at any point in the referred candidate’s application and hiring process, but in order to be eligible for a referral bonus, an employee must submit the referral within 90 days after the referred candidate’s start date.
  2. The candidate must have listed the name of the referring faculty/staff member as the source name on their online application (in Taleo).
  3. Candidate must be hired as a full-time employee by a Great Hearts academy or the Great Hearts Home Office and be in good standing for 30 days.
  4. Talent Team confirms protocol has been met and confers with the hiring Headmaster or hiring manager for final approval.
  5. Talent Team submits referral bonus request with the Great Hearts Accounting department.
  6. The referring faculty/staff member will receive a one-time taxed bonus of $500.00 in addition to their normal pay. Please note that processing time may take several weeks.
  7. If more than one Great Hearts employee submits a referral for a single candidate, the stipend will be split evenly between the referring faculty/staff members.
  8. We cannot issue stipends for former employees who are rehired.
