Programs: 

After-School:  

  • Athenaeum After-School Program 

Summer Programs: 

  • Summer Camp 
  • Kinder Readiness: Positions only available to current Great Hearts academy teachers 

Positions: 

Program Assistant: 

  • Part time, hourly position 
  • Assists the lead teacher with supervision of students in after-school program.  
  • Assists with facilitation of homework, recess, and program activities. 
  • Requirements: 

 

Lead Teacher: 

  • Part time, hourly position 
  • Facilitates homework, recess, and activities for groups of up to 20 students. 
  • Presents daily lessons and activities to students from the provided curriculum. 
  • Requirements: 

 

Assistant Campus Coordinator: 

  • Part time, hourly position 
  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Campus Coordinator
  • Assists with supervising program teachers, assistants, and students.
  • Requirements:
    • Must be at least 21 years of age 
    • High school diploma or equivalent 
    • Will be required to obtain CPR/First aid certification upon hire
    • Meets qualifications for Director Designee in accordance with the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing. 

 

Campus Coordinator: 

  • Full time, salaried position
  • Manages and oversees the operation of all Great Hearts Co-Curricular programs at their location including the Athenaeum After-School Program and Summer Programs.
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with children and children’s programming.
    • Will be required to obtain CPR/First aid certification upon hire
    • Meet qualifications for Facility Director in accordance with the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Child Care Licensing.

 

Kinder Readiness Teacher:

  • Summer Program during the month of June
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm  

 

Summer Camp Lead Teachers and Program Assistants:

  • Summer Program working with students in grades 1-5
  • 5-day shifts, mornings or afternoons available, Monday-Friday open 7:30am to 6:00pm
  • Supervise campers, assist in lesson planning, implement lessons and activities

 

*Base requirements for all positions:

  • IVP fingerprint clearance card
  • TB test with a negative result
